Best Practices for Capital Campaign Management in RE

Allysia, your question is pretty wide open.  How you set it up in RE depends on how your org structures things in RE. Are you brand new to RE? Do need structure to follow existing structures in RE?  Is it a 'campaign?' A 'fund?' Will there be appeals?  Do you have solicitors assigned to each prospect?  Do they have goals?  Will you need to report on money raised by constituency codes? By other factors?  Do you have donor giving levels to maintain?  Is it a multi-year campaign?


We've done several capital campaigns using RE and are in the midst of another now.  Our structure works for our needs but I know it is different than other users from RE posts.


There are so many components.  Do you have a RE rep that can give you guidance?

Thank you for your response, JoAnn.  I am not new to RE, nor is my organization.  We have actually done a capital campaign in RE (2000), but all of those involved are now gone.  I am good with the RE side of things, but our leadership was looking for some "best practices" of what other organizations do/have done for capital campaign tracking.  We are meeting tomorrow and I will see if they have specific questions/concerns that might be answered through this forum.  Thank you again for responding.
