Rogue Guest Record

I am not certain why this particular end-result occurred and I am not certain if my hypothesis is even correct. We recently had someone register for an event who goes by her middle name. Consequently the first name in the billing section was different than the first name in the registrant section. When the transaction information wrote to The Raiser's Edge Events Module, the proper first name record contained the payment amount on the "Registration/Fees" tab; however, a guest record (connected to this record) was created using the middle name and it was on the guest record that other attribute information such as dietary restrictions appeared. My apoogies if my explanation is not clear. It seems to me that the guest record may have been created on account of the first name being changed.
