Best Practices for Donor Honor Rolls and Tribute Gifts

Options
Hello Everyone,

We are workingo on compiling our Donor Honor Roll for 2015 in an upcoming newsletter. Does anyone have best practices they use within their organization for entering in Tribute Gifts to RE and compiling their Honor Roll?

I am looking for input on when it is appropriate to use the nickname of a tribute in comparison to their legal name. When tribute gifts are entered into RE, the tribute is include by attaching their record, which typicalls lists their official name. Often times, donors donate and include the tribute's nickname rather than official name. How is this most easily tracked? Do you include the nickname in the description/notes?

Any input would be helpful!

Thanks,

Kaitlyn

  • We just use full name in our tribute listing in our annual report. As far as I know, no one has complained.
