Alumni information systems

Hi all,


I am a part of the information systems team in a university alumni department and am gathering info on alumni information recording. For those of you working in alumni departments what systems do you use to record your information (personal, educational, professional etc)?

  • Could you be more specific about 'systems'?  I take the plural of this word to mean software, and if you mean software, we use Raiser's Edge.  If you mean system within software, we use the Relationship tab on RE7 where Education is a specific record type.  Within that we record on the main tab their Class Year (how they identify with class year in regards to reunions) and date for the actual date they graduated, and we use attributes to track student specific awards, extra-curricular activities, and academic affiliations.

    Apologies for my vagueness I guess my specific question is about where on Raiser's edge you store educational and professional information within those tabs, (organisation, relationships)
