Can you link 2+ pledges to one proposal?

Hi everyone,

I have what may be a dumb question, but I don't have a sandbox that I can test this out on.


Can you link two or more pledges to one proposal?


Here's the scenario:

Organization A has a proposal for $100K, which was successful and will be paid by 5 separate constituents pledging $20K each.

Can each of the 5 pledges be linked back to the $100K proposal?

Yes you can! I haven't tried this from the gift entry side, but from the Proposals tab you can link as many gifts as you like to one proposal. Just be sure not to link the pledges and the payments or your gift total will be inaccurate.

Depending on how you do the reporting you should still get accurate gift totals when linking both the pledge and pledge payments to the proposal.  In fact, if you've linked the pledge to the proposal, RE will automatically link the pledge payment to the Proposal when entering the payments in a Gift Batch.
