RE minimizes when a record is closed

Upon closing a record (with the X or Save and Close), RE minimizes and the last program used maximizes.  This is happening on some but not all of our workstations.  Anyone else experience this?  More importantly, how did you make it stop?  It doesn't happen all the time, but most of the time is enough to drive you crazy.  We use Alt+Tab, but a more permanent solution is greatly desired.  We've probably exhausted the options with BB support, so your help would be terrific!

  • Are you Hosted or a Local Install?  I would think it would have to be a setting on your computer somewhere...never experienced or heard of this problem before.



    If you are using Citrix (yours or BB's), have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling (or if RE is deployed to the individual computers, uninstalling & redeploying RE)?  Compare the settings between a workstation experiencing this issue and one that's not?  Did it start all of a sudden on all of these workstations or on one and then another over a longer timeframe?  Do you have Malwarebytes or another antivirus program that you can scan the affected workstations?



    Hopefully someone else will have a better idea of what might be happening...or have experienced it themselves.  Be sure to update this post, so anyone with this problem in the future can try the same solution.
  • Thanks for your reply.  Yes, it did start suddenly and spread, but here in the office we are of the opinion it might be related to some Windows upgrade or something of that nature.  We've repaired workstation, but haven't removed and redeployed.  That might be worth testing.  Thanks again.
  • We are installed locally and have been experiencing this same problem for over a year now- my belief is that it is related to a Windows upgrade.  I too tried calling support and they told me it was a local install issue, and talk to our IT "staff".  I also tried uninstalling and re-installing RE on my workstation to no avail.  I also tried updating all my drivers (suggested by a very tech-savvy former colleague) with no result.  I too would love to find resolution to this issue; maybe with RE 7.95 it will magically be fixed??
  • This happens to me all the time as well, before and after we updated Windows a few months ago.
  • Oh, dear.  It's not looking good for us.  If anyone finds a solution please link it to this post so we can all benefit.  I'll add this to RE Discovery and maybe more will join our ranks or maybe someone will have a solution!
  • Lauren and Jessica, do you have AppOmatic on your machines?  After removing it, the problem ceased immediately.  Yea!!
