Gift Aid declarations - record keeping

Options
I would appreciate any advice.

HMRC state the following:

"You must keep records of all Gift Aid declarations, whether they are written, online or verbal. This is to prove that each donor included in your claim has made a declaration."
If HMRC asked for a record of a declaration made via Online Express, what could be provided to satisfy this requirement?

thanks

  • We use Magic Folder to scan and store declaration forms.

For online i.e. BBNC, HMRC accept screen dumps of declaration.  Send screen dump to PDF printer and save to Magic Folder.

  • This topic also came up on another post and I provided a workaround I use for NetCommunity for keeping evidence, you can see the topic here - https://community.blackbaud.com/forums/viewtopic/213/21075?post_id=68587#p68587 - but feedback from others would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
