Give non-constituent participants a uniform unique id for grouped events

We love events, however, when a non-constituent (usually spouse) registers for more than one event in a group of events, the participant gets a separate id for each event. Its very hard to know that the "Micheal Fazio" in event A is the same "Michael Fazio" in event B when trying to run reports (especially if you a thousand people attending the grouped event). We have reports that look at the Constituent "LaDona Fazio" and all of the event she is attending for the grouped event, but we would also like to know all of the events that Michael Fazio is attending...either with her or on his own. We can't group the reports on name alone...as we have many Jr./Sr. alumni and parents who attend events together.



If a participant is attending a group of events, and the registration all comes down at the same time...shouldn't they have the same participant ID for all of the events?
