Page Deactivation

So we have an event that is cancelled and we don't want people to be able to go to the event's landing page anymore. I don't want to delete the page from netcommunity, I really just want to deactivate it or take it down so the URL is not accessible anymore. Is there a way to do this in BBNC?

The easiest way to do this is to go into the page properties, select targeting & security and unmark View for Everyone. If you do this, then only supervisors can access the page.

Hi Christine,

If you can I have a follow up question. I have done this for landing pages that we are no longer using. I have unchecked the everyone box and reviewed it to be sure it goes nowhere, but it literally goes no where should be redirected, no? What does that delete checkbox do that is right next to the everyone checkbox? And if I ever want to use that URL again I have to go to my deleted bin, rename the URL thusly freeing up the URL I want to use. Can't it just be deleted and be gone from the cloud forever?

If you want to delete a page with an associated URL, I'd highly recommend creating a redirect to your home page,or if it was an "event" page redirect to your events calendar.
