Fix for new event registration form for entry of guests

Ran into an issue with the new event registration form that Blackbaud was able to solve for me very quickly -- would like to share this information, the solution, and a final question.



- If on the (new) event registration part, in Options you select 'Allow individual to register on behalf of organization', then on the registration form the default is checked to 'Register guests later in the process (can't remember the exact wording...). If the registrant wants to actually enter the names of those who are attending on behalf of the org, they have to UNCHECK this.


- Our registrations started coming in with a lot of 'Guest of' entries - because people were NOT UNCHECKING this.



I put in a case and Blackbaud very quickly had a fix -- they have an additional part called 'Uncheck Specify Registrants Later' that they provided, and all I had to do was put this part on the page to make the default UNCHECKED.



GREAT SOLUTION -- but wondering why I didn't know about this fix before? I don't recall seeing it in any Blog posts or info coming from Blackbaud? So am sharing with you here, but would love to get comments if anyone else had heard about this fix and how? Are there other fixes out there that we just don't know are available?
