Gift notification email missing merge fields, specifically comments possibly more

In my notification email that we have set up for staff to receive when gifts come in, we have the comments merge field included. However, when the email comes through, the comments are blank.



I can see the comments on the attribute when the gift is processed, so I know they are coming through, but they are not in the notification email.



I have not found anything in the KB on this.

    The one time I saw it the comments field was not in the notification, and the person I was talking to was editing their acknowledgement instead of their notification. If it's not that, this may be better as a support case.

  • It is definitely my notification email.
  • I've added the comments merge field into our notification email to see if we have the same issue.



    I've often thought it would also be useful to have the comments display in the NetCommunity plugin before processing the gift, because those comments could help to explain something about the donor so we know to apply to the correct Raiser's Edge record. But I guess if they start displaying in the notification email, that would be something.
