How do you monitor/remind donors of upcoming recurring gift transactions?

I would like to be able to pull a query/report of upcoming (& only the unpaid) recurring gifts installments a month or two prior to when the installment will be processed be able to generate reminder emails to the donors.


Any best practices on managing the recurring credit card gifts would be appreciated.

You could use an Activity Report (RE -> Reports -> Pledge and Recurring Gift Reports) and check the "Create Constituent output query" checkbox. Then use that query in BBNC to send your reminder emails.



I'm curious as to why you want to send reminder emails. I think for most donors they sign up for monthly giving so they don't have to think about it and it just happens on its own. Sending monthly reminders would provide a monthly reminder of something they don't want to be reminded of along with the opportunity for them to stop their monthly giving.

Mostly for those with annual commitments. They tend to forget and would like a reminder that the charge is coming up.
