E-receipts for regular gifts in Net Community

My questions is about e-receipts in NC - apparently the system will not generate e-receipts where the transaction is going to take place in the future, but in the case of a regular gift has been set up on a particular day. Therefore the acknowledgement screen and acknowledgement emails cannot contain a link to an automatically generated e-receipt as they would for one-off, credit card gifts. Does anyone have a simple solution for this, or does everyone just not provide e-receipts at all? many thanks in advance
