Gifts of Membership in NetCommunity

Is it possible for a nonmember to give a gift of membership? Or for someone to give a gift of membership without logging into their account on NetCommunity?

Hello Chris,



As long as the constituent is not purchasing a membership renewal, you can make the membership form available to users who are not logged into NetCommunity and include the option to give the gift of membership. To make sure that the form is available to non-logged in users:



1. Log into NetCommunity as an administrative user


2. Navigate to the Membership Form Page


3. Click to edit the page


4. Click on the gear icon for the Membership Form and select Edit


5. Select the Targetting and Security tab at the top, and ensure that the "Everyone" box is checked for view rights.

The part is currently viewable by everyone, but I've found that unless I'm using an account that is logged in AND has a current membership, the 'give a gift' option doesn't even appear.

If the option to "give the gift of membership" is selected, it should be appearing for users who are not logged in as well. I would suggest creating a case with support, so that we can look into this further for you.
