Using the Linked In groups part

I'm having trouble with the LinkedIn group part, are there any particular settings in my LinkedIn app that I need to ensure, i.e. the default scope field?



I've done the following


1. Set up a linked in App, I'm also using it for JanRain social login


2. entered the API details in the NetCommunity Administration section


3. created a linkedin group part and entered a group URL with the group number in it.



the only message I get though when using the part is "You are unable to retrieve group datea from Linked In at this time. Please try again later"



are there any pointers out there for testing this setup so you know where it might be going wrong?

I had the same issue, double check your keys.



From memory the Group URL I was using was the wrong format, currently using linkedIn url in the format of:



http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=1234 - where 1234 needs to be your group ID

hmmm thanks Kerry for the response. I am using that format for the group. I will have to open up a case for Blackbaud I guess. I'll post back here when I get more answers.



In the meantime if anyone else has suggestions please let me know.

I did solve this issue by having to create a separate LinkedIn app, I couldn't use the same one for JanRain and the LinkedIn group part for some reason. Anyway this seemed to work for me.
