When I enter a pledge amount with a minimum payment amount, it appears on my donation form as the full pledge amount for each payment.


Also, how can you make single gift the default and pledge another option?

Hi Shauna, thanks for posting. I'm not sure I follow the issue you are finding with pledge payments. Can you share a screenshot or a link to your form? I'd be happy to take a look.



As for making a single gift the default vs. the pledge: I would highly recommend creating a general giving form that includes your single gift amounts and recurring giving for your sustainers (if your organization offers recurring gifts). Then, create a separate form for your pledge givers, and offer that somewhere else that is more specialized for your pledge givers on your website.



Unlike recurring giving, online pledge giving is all about asking for a large impact (like make a $5,000 pledge!) and spread the payments out over time. This is generally targeted toward a special donor or campaign; it's almost always better to direct your general donors to start recurring gifts.

My mistake...I didn't realize you have to change the number of payments to make the amount of each payment go down. (silly me.)
