appeals not showing on gift record

We did our first 2 solicitation e-blasts last month with good results. However, the gift records of donors do not have the appeal listed. I am having to do that one by one. What did we do wrong, or is it standard to have to go through each gift and attach an appeal to it?

Hi Joanne. You can add an appeal on your donation form to associate with gifts automatically. On the first setup step of your donation form you will find an option to associate an appeal with the form.

You have to go into the Fund that is selected for the email donation form, and within the Fund record, you have to go to the Appeals tab, and check the box to make your appeal the Default setting. Once that is made the default setting, it will automatically pull whenever you download the gifts.

I always forget to ask... can a linked appeal option be added for event forms too? please?
