Online Express for Event Registration

Can anyone share current examples (links please) of event registration pages using Online Express? Can you also share your experience of the integration with Raiser's Edge?



I found several examples of current donation pages, but no event registration pages.

OLX has been a good experience overall, but there are some kinks. On a positive note, their Support Team has been very quick to respond and help us solve any issues. They are also incredibly open to suggestions and have a seperate online community where you can add requests. Their developers have been quick to move on a lot of them.

We have been using OLX since January. We've used online event registration for three events so far. Two of the forms are inactive because the events are over. Here is a link to the only active event form we have up: https://www.mountangelabbey.org/portland-seminary-benefit-dinner-sponsorship



I love how OLX works, but there are several things to be careful with.



1) If you want the registrant to be able to register guests, you have to configure RE to "Allow multiple constituent registrations." The problem with allowing this option is that depending on how your guests use your form, you'll either get a registrant with embedded guests (desirable), or separate registrations for each guest on the registrants record (undesirable). Also, and this can corrupt your event record (very bad), it will allow a constituent to register themselves as a guest of themselves. This creates a loop which will lock you out of the event record permanently. I had this happen and had to recreate an event record that already had 270 registrants. 



2) When the registrations come into the queue, I  recommend going into any newly created constituent record and adding the Addressee/Salutation fields and checking for other fields that your organization requires for new constituents.



All in all, we are very happy with the online forms. The ability to setup and use Attributes makes the forms very flexible as far as gathering data for your event. We have event in which there are meal options and were able to use attributes to allow registrants to set their options.

Has anyone been able to insert a field for a contact person's name when an organization is registering? It goes straight o phone, email, address.... we'd like the Organization to have a person attached (or at leas the option to have)

This is our first time using online express event form for annual awards dinner.  Our dinner will take place in October.  I am looking forward to working with this event form.

We have a walk/run event that allows under 18's to participate but we do need to collect their parent details as well as a emergency contact name and number. We have created an attribute to collect emergency contact and number but can't decide how to collect the additional details.  Has anyone else had this issue?  I'm considering just using the attribute for emergency contact then having to follow up to confirm additional details.



Also, does Online Express have a data protection tick box? I suspect that is another attribute to add to the gift attributes.

on your site there is also a registration for your Honor Ball. https://give.shc.org/honorball/registration      Was that also generated through Online Express? If so, it looks great and I may want to pick your brain...
