create query or report of giving history for specific constituents?

Hi everyone,



I'm wanting to run a query (or report if that's advisable) of giving history of about 40 constituents. Want to include:

- who referred

- notes

- any other relevant info - name, gift amounts, gifts dates, etc.



I'd appreciate any help. Thanks so much!

Kathleen - Probably best if you try to get your results and then if you have issues, post the question with the specifics. Since there are different ways of getting the data, your question might be a bit too open.  



In order to approach this, it's helpful to include what the purpose of the report is?

And, what do you mean by 'who referred' - is this something specific you put on a constituent or gift record?

This is going to depend on how and where you store the data you want to include.



You might try Constituent Profile, or if that doesn't get you what you need, I would suggest (based on how comfortable you are with RE) using Query/Export to gather the data you want and then manually assemble it the way you want it.  Often times, particularly in a one-time or seldom-times situation, it's easier/faster to pull the data you want and manipulate it outside of RE.
