Coaching Emails for Event with No End Date

Options
We are trying to schedule teamraiser coaching emails for our "do-it-yourself" style fundraiser.  There is no end date to the event, so emails would need to go out based on registration date.  We tried following the instructions in one of the kits we found in the learn center, but that failed miserably.  I saw some mentions of "follow up" emails in this forum, but don't see that as an option.  Has anyone had success with this or have any advice on getting this set up?  Thank you!

If you go to 3. Select Event Options and scroll to the bottom of the left column (in Related Actions), you'll see Edit Advanced Options. Click that link and you'll be on the screen to a. Define Fundraising Options. In the left column, select c. Define Misc Options. On that screen, you can set the dates for the follow-up emails. (For example, 7 in the first follow-up interval would mean a week after the person registered, etc.)

To configure the messages themselves, you would go to 10. Manage Autoresponders in the left column. At the bottom of that page, you'll see TeamRaiser First Follow Up, etc.

Let us know if you have any issues with that.

    Thanks!

  • Thank you so much, Tracy!  We will try this.
  • Hi,

I would suggest using Auto Responders as part of your coaching emails series. As stated, a DIY event doesn't necessarily have an end date, so you can use the auto responders creatively to accomplish this. For example, your first Auto Reponder "Thank you for registering" could include the thank you, plus 3 steps to start fundraising right now. You can also use the 50% of goal and 100% of goal to provide coaching to your fundraisers as well.
