New r68 Gift Aid report software

Hi,

 Just wanted to check - is anyone using the new Gift Aid software in RE that allows an automatic report to go off to HMRC? Does anyone have any comments or advice about the report?

We are just about to run our first report and just wondering what other people's experiences of this is...

Yes we use this it has been working great up untill last week there seems to be a bug in the system as we are still in version 7.93 there is currently no fix. So at the moment we cant submit R68 Claims this way. Note that error messagess will flag up when you try to submit the claim if address formats are incorrect but if working in version 7.94 it should tell you exactly where on the report the error is.

We are having exactly the same issue as Emma, however, Blackbaud are aware and are currently working on a patch to fix the problem. We normally sumbit gift aid claims every month via R.E. and have had no problems until now.

Please could you let me know what the problem is. We're still on 7.93 and will be submitting some more HMRC claims very soon. Everything has been fine for us previously. I'd like to be aware of the error rather than it surprise us.


Is the problem in 7.94 also? Or is the patch being talked about definitely going to be available for 7.93.

Hi Nikki,


We are on 7.93 and had no problems until Friday when the submission was rejected for the reason of "Unrecognised Namespace". I called Blackbaud and they advised that this was a known error they were urgently working on and that a patch would be available as soon as possible - although they could not give me a release date for the patch!


Apparently it has been caused by HMRC changing the requirements/format of the R68 from the 5th April. HMRC did not warn anyone that these changes were happening.


Not sure if the patch will be available for 7.93, but we are planning on going to 7.94 shortly anyway
