Notifying Board Members of Specific Gifts?

Good morning, all.  My direct supervisor has asked me if there's a way in RE to automatically notify board members of specific gifts that have been processed.  For instance....Joe Smith is our board member and a gift has been made by a close friend of his and Joe may want to make a personal phone call to the donor.  Is there a way for RE to let me know I should give Joe Smith a call when the gift is entered?  I'm thinking that there really isn't any "automatic" way, but maybe I'm missing something.

    Nothing in the base package will automatically notify the board member themselves but do you have the Queue module or the VBA module?

    Notifying you is another story. You can create a query and put it into a business rule that can pop up when you are adding a new gift on the donor to remind you. It is not foolproof because it is our nature to click ok to the popups and then guickly move on with gift entry with the full intention to notify the board member but then sometimes life happens.
