Primary Position Description

The Annual Giving Director is responsible for all aspects of the United Arts Annual Fund Campaign for The Arts Partnership/Chapman Cultural Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Annual Giving Director works closely with the President in creating and implementing an annual fundraising plan with goals, objectives, and strategies for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual gifts, foundation grants, and corporate gifts and sponsorships.

Description of Work / Primary Job Factors:

Fundraising

Actively cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential corporate and individual donors in the Upstate region.

Coordinate the printing, production, and mailing of all United Arts Annual Fund direct mail appeals. Design and execute all campaign materials including United Arts Annual fund brochure, direct mail solicitations, etc.

Coordinate and manage all aspects of the bi-yearly phone-a-thon including recruitment of volunteers, preparation of calling materials, and follow-up letters.

Research local and national Foundation grant opportunities, write grants, and manage foundation applications and timelines.
