Solomon Schechter Day School, a PK-8 co-ed school, is searching for an experienced Controller. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Controller will be responsible for managing the accounting staff; all accounting operations including policies, procedures, auditing, financial statements, and compliance; general ledger accounting, student billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and benefits accounting and financial aid programs; and working to maximize the capacity of the existing Blackbaud accounting software.  The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of school business office experience  with evidence of increasing responsibility and leadership; demonstrated technology competence with accounting software, spreadsheets and internet interfaces (Blackbaud experience preferred); excellent organizational and communication skills, both oral and written; a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; and the ability to work collaboratively with others.  Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to liz.chesarone@ssdsboston.org .  EOE
