Best practices for online gifts when donor lists multiple names in fields

Sometimes we get online donations in which the donor lists several names in the "name" field, and may even put " and Family" in the Last Name field.  I know that the one whose name is on the credit card should get the receipt, but how do you make this happen in RE?  Often these groups of people register as an organization.

Right now we are using Net Solutions, but will be switching to BBNC soon.  Not sure if it makes a diffference though.
