How to "un-apply" a gift to a pledge

Everyone here has been so helpful in the past!  I have a gift that was erroneously applied and committed as a pledge payment.  I can't seem to adjuste it from a pay-cash.  Any suggestion?

Delete (or adjust to zero, depending on your procedures) and re-enter the gift.

Ah, thank you.  I was hoping there was an adjustment procedure that I wasn't aware of which would enable me to just unapply to the pledge without deleting/zeroing the gift and re-entering.

Unfortunately no. You have to re-enter it. Depending on your internal procedures the original gift gets adjusted to $0 or deleted altogether.

Thanks, Melissa, for putting it so distinctly.  Now I will spend less time trying to work my way around it and move forward with the best way to adjust the gift.
