OnBase & Check Scanning for deposit

Hi all,

We currently scan checks through a scanner provided by our bank.  We also use hand held scanners for gift entry to scan the reply pieces that are sent back in the mail.  I wondering if we could do both with the right sytem and scanner.

why should this take 2 people to do this?  Does anyone use OnBase?  Can that be used to generate something to the bank while next creating a batch for importing gifts into RE?  is this a dream or can it become a reality?  We have OnBase already in our healthsystem, so i don't think it would take too much to get started with the minimum.

Any help would be appreciated.
