Reports to: Member and Donor Relations Manager

Job Objective: To manage all aspects of the membership database (Raiser's Edge, Version 7.92); maintain the accuracy and integrity of all member and other records; assist the Database Manager in educating and supporting Garden staff that use the database; assist Database Manager in researching and developing additional methods of using the Raiser's Edge to promote the Garden's programs.

  • Post memberships in database; assist Membership Dept. in producing membership cards, renewal notices, credit card and check processing.
  • Download and process NetCommunity memberships.
  • Generate monthly and yearly reports for Finance: Membership income, UAF, RAF, GIK, and Special Events Contributions.
  • Produce monthly renewal Email blasts from NetCommunity (First and Second Notices).
  • Produce other Email blasts upon request, such as Education Class Schedule.
  • Generate reports showing results of Email blasts.
  • Process Unsubscribe requests from NetCommunity emails.
  • Generate statistical reports for Membership Manager, monthly and on request.
  • Respond to member inquiries and phone renewals in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist with preparing check deposits as needed.
  • Maintain member email and email subscribers' addresses up-to-date in database.
  • Add Email Subscribers to Raiser's Edge database.
  • Reconcile on a daily basis gifts entered in the database and send Pre-Posting report to Finance
  • Work closely with Finance to reconcile database records with Accounting's records
  • Participate in evening and weekend membership sales and Garden events
  • Attend Raiser's Edge classes, conferences and User Group meetings; utilize customer support website, resources and publications to problem solve issues and to stay current with Raiser's Edge software
  • Provide consultation to staff regarding database/membership/income issues
  • Assist Database Manager with database instruction to staff; trouble-shoot database problems and issues
  • Collaborate with Database Manager on policies and procedures
  • Assist with other duties as requested

 Qualifications Include: Associates or B.S. degree

  • Experience in Raiser's Edge and data management
  • Good communication, both oral and written
  • Good interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Demonstrate superior leadership, coaching, and management skills, structured problem solving and analytical thinking, organizational skills, ability to work independently as well as the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels; must enjoy and feel comfortable interacting and working in close proximity to general public, in a safe and friendly manner, answering questions regarding membership and donor relations
  • Ability to work outdoors and on weekends.
